I forgot to mention last week that Polish Happy Hour travels to Irish Bobs this Thursday, March 10th! Green cocktails and Polish beer will be toasted with an Irish flair this month to recognize St Patrick’s Day and also to acknowledge the huge number of Polish immigrants in the country of Ireland! Poles are the largest immigrant group in Ireland. Read about it here. They hold many internet tech positions as well as skilled construction workers, plumbers, carpenters, etc. It has been rough at times between the groups and, lately, some Poles are heading out. But here in the Mahoning Valley, our warm feelings for our Celtic friends is not waning… the Gathering of the Irish Clans in July as one of the best ethnic events all year!! And we are eternally grateful to Robbie Kale, that event’s chairman, who coached us through our first Polish Day! Our festivities begin at 5:30pm and will continue until the last jig has been jiggled. Irish Bob's is located at 3602 South Avenue, just north of Midlothian Blvd. Security will be in place for the evening.
Our Nonprofit Partner this month is Angels for Animals, the Canfield-based no kill animal shelter. Reps of the group will be there to share information on what they do and how you can help!
