In addition, we will be sampling Polish sweet wines from Nalewka Babuni. These fortified dessert wines with their distinctive flavors and aromas have been enjoyed warm, cold and in cocktails for more than six generations. Directly translated as Granny’s Medicine, these wines are considered anti-oxidants, containing all the health-giving properties of the fruit used in their production, with valuable organic compounds, mineral salts and vitamins. So consider your trip to PHH preventative medicine in this cold and flu season!
To celebrate the chill of winter, we will highlight the tradition of Kulig, an old-fashioned Polish sleigh ride that went from one manor house to another, where guests were greeted with hearty meals, drinks and dances. It certainly would be appropriate with our current weather. Learn more about it on our website.
At 7 P.M., our friend Mitch Benia, owner of Kniola Travel in Slavic Village, Cleveland, will be on hand to unveil the long-awaited itinerary for this summer’s trip to Poland 2010 as well as share information on our bus trips to Paczki Day in Hamtramck and Dyngus Day in Buffalo.
